Let me start off by saying this company should not even exist. In their principle they are a multi faceted consumer and enterprise network and phone service provider integrated by localized regionโ€™s. In reality they are a prying, deceitful, and flat out awful company that has caused us nothing but headaches since inception.

For every good thing I can list about their service I can fault them on at least 4 negatives.

To list a few: We are paying for a 15mbps dsl lines. In reality we are lucky to see 2mbps and awful latency. Tech support refuses to address the issue and instead *** that we upgrade our plan to the next tier and there is nothing they can do as the problem is not on their end. To test this theory I hooked up a 4G hotspot from AT&T that was daisy chained to the modem via coax converter. Even with poor signal strength and a 10mbps threshold I was still pulling in a consistent 8mbps with good ping. I then used a coax reader on their incoming line and determined that not only was the latency horrible with the direct coax but it appeared capped at 3mbps. Another call to Cincinnati Bell and they flat out denied this and still refused to send a technician to address their obvious scam.

On another note every single bill we have had from them has included bogus charges. The account is set up for auto pay and has never had a missed payment yet they have no less than 4 late charges on the account and some additional undisclosed feeโ€™s. Hours of conversation and being on hold and finally they admitted the feeโ€™s were clerical errors and would be credited back to the account with an additional credit for their mistake. Next bill we found that all feeโ€™s were still there as well as an additional $100.00 flat fee reading โ€œservice support feeโ€. That putโ€™s the total at $366.35 in bogus feeโ€™s. More calls to Cincinnati Bell and store visits and they still will not correct the account.

Lastly is their constant and unauthorized additions and changes to the contract termโ€™s that happen monthly. On one event they added on a cable service to the account for $199.99 a month + 265.00 set up fee + $40 activation fee + $62.00 for 3 additional set top boxes. A quick call to Cincinnati Bell and they informed me that this was added to the account 4 months back because we didn't opt out of it. I again had to exclaim I had no idea what they *** they were talking about and I wanted the charges removed because we donโ€™t even have cable. They then made up some explanation that someone by the name of โ€œJerry Smithโ€ had authorized the service at a mall kiosk. I again said I have no idea who that is or what you are talking about. I immediately demanded that they send us signed proof of who ever this guy was authorizing the contract; their response was that it was confidential and would need a court seponia mailed to them in order to attain it. What they didn't realize was that my attorney was conference in the call and promptly chimed up that he had enough grounds to sue them for 14 consumer infringements. They promptly hung up and the charge was removed. I then had my attorney contact the headquarters and again they removed the bogus feeโ€™s from the account only to find that they re appeared on the most recent statement.

I am at wits end with these criminals and will be at their office in the AM shortly with my attorney to serve them our litigation case.

Can you send me the information for your attorney because I just went through the exact same thing with them. My email is thefreemans12@yahoo.com Cincinnati Bell is some crooks and they deserve a class action lawsuit!

I agree and am glad you are taking legal action against them. I wish more people did because thats what it will take to stop them from scamming people and adding cramming charges.

I encourage everybody who has had problems with them, to report them to the BBB, Angie's List, PUCO of Ohio and the Attorney General's office. Honestly, i got rid of all of their services after dealing with similar circumstances for months. Yep, months! I kept getting bogus charges on my home phone, cell phone and Internet over and over.

My bill was never right and was always more than promised with the bundle, I never got internet speeds I was promised, the DSL would go out when it rained or stormed, you call customer service and you always get somebody in the Philippines or India or somewhere where you can't understand them and they don't understand you. The people were always very rude and would hang up on you if they couldn't help. They never keep their appointment times for technicians, etc. I could go on and on.

I seriously don't know or understand how this company is still in business, and their CEO should be ashamed. They are the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in terms of customer "service."

I agree they are a bunch of money hungry crocks with *** poor service!!! But yet better pay your bill on time, worst service ever!!
